A few weeks ago me and Kieran stayed at his parents caravan for a week in Burry Port. It was to celebrate my birthday and we decided to take a road trip to Tenby for the day (which is about an hour and a half drive away).
Tenby is a beautiful little harbour town and seaside resort filled with restaurants, pubs, shops (with endless vintage sweet shops) all linked by cobbled streets. Many of the hotels around overlook Pembrokeshire’s stunning beaches. It is SO picturesque! It is also known for delicious food such as fish & chips and of course ice-cream!
It was the perfect day out! Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful country, the surroundings are truly breath-taking!
There is actually a funny story about this boat. When I was a child my mother and nan brought me here for a holiday. The boat above takes you to Caldey island and I remember on the way back I had accidently left my Barbie doll behind! Apparently I was crying my EYES OUT because it was my favourite doll! I love hearing stories from my childhood, especially things that I cannot quite remember that my family can remind me of. Who agrees?
I automatically want to start singing “Let’s Go Fly A Kite” from Mary Poppins whenever I see this photograph!
If you were wondering, the ice-cream was delicious! (You must try if you go!)
Thank you for reading, I hope I have inspired you to come visit!
Love Katie
