Hello everybody! How has your week been? Today I wanted to share a post on what I got up to last Saturday. (Hint it says in the title)! Yes you guessed right we went to the seaside. Me and Kie decided to take a little trip to Burry Port.
I was introduced to this lovely place when I met Kie almost nine years ago… (still can not get over how quick our time together has gone). His parents own a caravan there and I have loved going to this place ever since. It is such a pretty town full of beautiful coastal paths, local shops / cafes and pubs. We have stayed many times throughout the summer months and it is literally like being away on holiday. One of my favourite things to do is bike riding along the coastal path towards Pembrey Country Park. I love this place! Great for walking, camping, picnics you name it!
I am SUPER EXCITED to spend more time and create even more wonderful memories there this year. I just love being outside in the fresh air, when the weather is warm and the sun is shining. It makes you feel good, am I right?
Last year we took the bikes up to the park, sat on a cute wooden bench with drinks and listened to music while the sun was shining. It was the perfect day. Sounds so cheesy but it is true. Simple things are always the greatest.
Last weekend we went to the start of the coastal path and headed towards the seaside. I took a few photographs and Kieran snapped a couple of my outfit. It was a little on the chilly side but to be honest it felt so good to have the sun on my skin. Nothing beats the feeling. (Not too much of it though, of course).
Before we left Burry Port Kieran picked up a Chinese from the town. According to Kie it is legit the best Chinese takeaway he has tasted! I’m not a huge fan of the takeaway so I had my homemade nachos and quorn burger leftovers from the night before…when we got back home. Although I must admit I absolutely LOVE the chicken balls that come with the sweet and sour sauce. I mean, wow they are delicious! Kieran usually gets a few because he knows I’ll usually pinch one or two… Which I did. Ha ha.
This is actually a little miracle. Usually I can NEVER get a photograph of me and Kieran. He hates having his photograph taken, which I do have to respect. But the reasons behind him not wanting a photograph is because he thinks he doesn’t look good enough. Well mate, I think you look lush! I tell him all the time but he doesn’t believe me. Anyhow I managed to quickly snap this of us. I believe capturing memories on camera is so important. Especially when we are old and grey, I want to look back and think hey we looked good! Also I think it is so easy to forget the little things and if we can capture them on camera, we can look back on those days of our lives and think yes I remember that.
