I have been meaning to write about my trip to Italy since I got back just under two weeks ago now (cannot believe how fast that’s gone) and I am finally getting around to it.
So, where do I start? I have been here once before, over 10 years ago to be precise with my mother and auntie. Italy is such a beautiful part of the world and it forever leaves me wanting to book my next adventure here.
The food is just amazing, the culture, people, the history everything about this place I love! My boyfriend Kieran had never been so of course I was overly keen to bring him here. I like to keep my posts short and sweet so I am going to do a few of this trip. (Also we did do SO MUCH and it would be pretty difficult to fit it all on one anyway).
We stayed at the lovely seaside resort town called Lido Di Jesolo. We were thinking of staying in Venice itself, but we wanted a holiday where we could relax as well as do some site seeing.
It is a 15 km-long beach, each hotel surrounding it has its own private section of beach with sun loungers, tables and umbrellas for that hotel only. Pretty cool huh? It also has lots of bars, shops and restaurants. Literally I think It would take you months to eat at every restaurant. It is a great option if you want a beach holiday as well as some site seeing which was the perfect choice for us! It even has a water park which of COURSE I have been to, we didn’t get time to do it this year unfortunately. It is definitely a must if you are visiting. Lots of big slides, reminding me a little of the Orlando water parks.
We came here late September and in this resort a lot of things are closing for the summer. So a lot of hotels and shops actually close, I think we were the last week of the season. If we ever came back here we would probably come earlier on in the month. It is a very popular resort for tourists so it can get very busy. Especially in June, July and August. That is one of the reasons we decided to come at this time. Although I have come here in July and it is really fun because they usually do lots of different events and it is a great atmosphere to be around. Plus it is very HOT. Which was another reason we picked to go in September, because it was a lot cooler, more bearable to walk around and do things.
Our hotel Principle Palace was just perfect, the staff could not do enough for you, always helpful and they do some delicious Italian food. To be honest we only spent one day in the resort town the rest of our time we were out sight seeing. So literally we would get up have breakfast, be out all day exploring and then coming back to the hotel for dinner. If we come back to this place we would definitely be returning to this hotel. I would highly recommend it.
I also wanted to share with you my look that I wore on the day we spent at the resort. Kie snapped a couple of photographs of me in front of this huge Ferris Wheel in the town. I kept it quite simple and casual. The cutest heart print tea blouse from ASOS which you can shop HERE. Shorts are from gap, flip flops from Roxy and headband by Urban outfitters. Thank you so much for reading and stay tuned for more upcoming posts on Italy.
